Performers:
Peter Gabriel
8/10
His solo career & work is more relevant than his time with Genesis, it's more groundbreaking than ever. His video for song Sledgehammer definitely changed MTV.
Hall & Oates
7/10
The duo's more known for their hits, but they're also among the most recognizable duos in music history. Their soulful sound would be praised by modern artists like Justin Timberlake, Sam Smith & Robin Thicke.
Kiss
7/10
This "gimmick" band may be on the caliber of The Beatles in terms of popularity, however in overall impact alone not so much. Nothing against them, Kiss aren't exactly leaders as they literally didn't change anything in rock & roll history nor did they broke any ground they only followed it. I would give them credit for the marketing & they certainly did have influence but not in the sense that The Fabs have the most of it. Consider the hard rockers safe.
Nirvana
10/10
Nirvana had only been together for 7 years, but in those years they accomplished & achieved everything. Their sophomore album Nevermind made Grunge more mainstream & popular & they're also known for legendary live performances. That said, the trio definitely changed music entirely since the 60's golden days.
Linda Ronstadt
7/10
A hitmaker, Linda Ronstadt had a stellar career released lots of albums & winning multiple grammys while also collaborated with multiple artists of different genres. What's hurting is some of her music hasn't always stood the test of time like she doesn't have some work that transcend generations & considered to be art forms. I'll give her credit for influence on multiple country stars.
Cat Stevens (Yusuf Islam)
6/10
Don't have a problem with Cat/Yusuf being inducted however he definitely lacked influence & groundbreaking impact although he did have solid work throughout.
Only Nirvana stood out the most while others are ok at best!
