Rock & Roll Hall of Fame inductee rankings (REDUX)  Today I'll be ranking the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame inductees in several group tiers, for this I'll be putting inductees as performers in groups of tiers based on the Hall's criteria: influence, innovation, impact, excellence & originality.  Beginning with the creme of the crop!  Early Founders  * 1.) Chuck Berry  * 2.) Little Richard  * 3.) Elvis Presley  Historically speaking, rock & roll starts with the creators. They did it with spirit, attitude, diversity & evolution. RRHOF inductee ratings & observations #25  Welcome back to the ratings of inductees & today it's the 2012 class!  Ratings:  10/10 = Legends & Icons  9/10 = All Time Greats  8/10 = No Brainers  7/10 = Proven Performers  6/10 = Best of the Rest  5/10 = Average/Borderline  4/10 = Marginal  3/10 = Mediocre  2/10 = Not even worth mentioning  1/10 = Not deserving without a ticket  0/10 = 💣   Performers:  Beastie Boys  9/10  The trio's influence on hip hop is very huge, not only that they're also shipped to other genres including alternative & punk certainly made them one of those artists who completely changed rock & roll.  Donovan  7/10  Although successful, Donovan isn't one of artists whose music has always been most recognizable outside of few hits. RRHOF inductee ratings & observations # 10 Alright I'm back & this is the 2020 induction class. Y'all obviously know what I'm doing so let's go.  Ratings:  10/10 = Legends & Icons  9/10 = All Time Greats  8/10 = No Brainers  7/10 = Proven Performers  6/10 = Best of the Rest  5/10 = Borderline  4/10 = Marginal  3/10 = Mediocre  2/10 = Not even worth of debate  1/10 = Not even worth of mention  0/10 = 💣  Performers: Depeche Mode  8/10  DM are definitely important but they're nowhere near as the "creme of the crop" of the 80's, nevertheless they were decade defining & have influenced artists in the 90's. The Doobie Brothers  6/10  A pretty good "if not great" band that made timeless tunes that are still classics to this day, but they're nowhere near as the best when it comes to "creativity" influence & innovation however doesn't mean they aren't bad....

RRHOF 2025: Biggest bang yet!

Rock & Roll Hall of Fame 2025: Biggest bang yet!  Earlier this year, the Cleveland based Rock & Roll Hall of Fame had announced it's class of 2024 into the hallowed institution. A mix list of artists stemming from R&B/Soul to Heavy Metal/Classic Rock to Contemporary Pop etc. It's also one of those classes where it becomes more populist & quantify which is something the Hall isn't there for when it comes to recognition. Then came the ceremony & aside from incredible inductions from few artists, the show was very dull!  For the purists/fanatics who are still complaining about "non rock" acts being inducted & demanding the name change of the museum, get used to the fact that the term "rock & roll" isn't about style & genre. It's about recognizing spirit, diversity, attitude, pop culture, evolution & inclusiveness. After all that's what the term is based on. If you only honor those who were only pure rock with ...
