The Saga of the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame 2025: Who got inducted!

The continued saga of the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame: Who got inducted in 2025. 


In 40+ years of the Hall's existence, the foundation welcomed solo artists, bands & other professionals who not only changed the trajectory of rock & roll while revolutionized the entire music industry, they also impacted society & culture as a whole. 

In my point of view, the institution has done nothing but great work to induct people in the business so they can be remembered for their incredible legacy they created. It would continue to go on many years from now 

However it don't mean the RRHOF isn't a stranger to controversy. From musicians to fans, they've been criticized because rock & roll isn't just loud guitars with screaming banshees and popularity like sales, charts & tickets. That's a fact not everyone could understand. 

So with all that out, here's the class of 2025. 

Bad Company - I expect them to get inducted, although they're not the most deserving of a bunch. I'll be a reunion on the ranks. 

Possible Presenter: Brian May 

Chubby Checker - How did he get inducted so late is a mystery that would never be solved, yet better than not being honored at all. 

Possible Presenter: Cliff Richard 

Joe Cocker - Never thought Cocker would even be on the ballot let alone voted in as performer. He could've been easily backdoored although I'm ok with it. 

Possible Presenter: Paul McCartney & Ringo Starr or Billy Joel 

Cyndi Lauper - An only solo woman voted in, although she isn't the only one overall honored this year. With said, Lauper finally got her call to victory. 

Possible Presenter: Stephanie McMahon 

OutKast - Yep I saw this one coming & even better, they are also joined by other hip hop group.  Looking forward to them bringing down the house in fall. 

Possible Presenter: Donald Glover (Childish Gambino) 

Soundgarden - It's official: Soundgarden are now inductees after three nominations. Could've happened sometime ago but at last. Their induction will be a highlight of this year. Plus much nod to Matt Cameron for becoming a two - time honoree. 

Possible Presenter: Eddie Vedder 

The White Stripes - I guess they don't have to wait by towards the end of the decade. Either way, they deserved this accolade for keeping the spirit of rock & roll alive. 

Possible Presenter: Conan O'Brien 

Musical Influence 

Salt-N-Pepa - It's finally time to recognize more women in hip hop & Salt N Pepa one of the originators are a perfect choice for inclusion. 

Presenter: Queen Latifah 

Warren Zevon - This is an artist who could've been a side category honoree from gecko, how did he get nominated at all is something I'll never understand. With said, finally got his recognition. 

Presenter: David Letterman 

Musical Excellence 

Thom Bell - Not familiar with his overall resume other than he worked with fellow honorees The Spinners 

Presenter: N/A 

Nicky Hopkins - His contributions are everywhere yet often overlooked, very glad Hopkins got recognized. 

Presenter: N/A

Carole Kaye - I've seen people suggesting Carole Kaye for Musical Excellence induction as she's among the most acclaimed session musicians of her time. Now it finally happened. 

Presenter: Kathy Valentine 

Ahmet Ertugun Award 

Lenny Waronker - Never familiar with the man, can't have any statements about him. 

Presenter: N/A 

I'll also be discussing on others who didn't get their due. 

The Black Crowes - As I said before, their nomination came out of nowhere & it won't be their year. Not only that, it's very possible they're not going to have another try but never say never. 

Mariah Carey - It's no surprise & shock that Carey have been left out once more, I get that she's one of the most influential artists out there yet she made a lot of enemies in the field. It will be some point for her, although it might not come soon enough. 

Billy Idol - Sometimes appearances at ceremonies don't an inductee make. I thought it would be his moment, then it didn't happen. Always next year I suppose. 

Joy Division/New Order - As of this point, these innovators are closer to getting a backdoor treatment following two failed attempts at being voted as performers. I hate to see it happen, then again better than not having an induction at all. 

Mana - They had their moment in the sun so thanks for being here. They aren't returning anymore. 

Oasis - Maybe a reunion tour isn't in the cards given the high demand. Their time would come sooner than eventually. Only their second appearance on a ballot. 

Phish - A fan vote winner never makes an honoree for a first time. DMB went through that scenario five years ago & Phish are following them in that regard. 

Not a bad class so far aside from a few boring apples. Ceremony will take place in November at LA! Looking forward to it.

Rock & Roll Hall of Fame 2025: Biggest bang yet!  Earlier this year, the Cleveland based Rock & Roll Hall of Fame had announced it's class of 2024 into the hallowed institution. A mix list of artists stemming from R&B/Soul to Heavy Metal/Classic Rock to Contemporary Pop etc. It's also one of those classes where it becomes more populist & quantify which is something the Hall isn't there for when it comes to recognition. Then came the ceremony & aside from incredible inductions from few artists, the show was very dull!  For the purists/fanatics who are still complaining about "non rock" acts being inducted & demanding the name change of the museum, get used to the fact that the term "rock & roll" isn't about style & genre. Final review of who will be making into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame class of 2025.  In retrospect, the powers behind this whole institution (famous yet infamous) Rock & Roll Hall of Fame never disappoints how they choose certain artists for induction while being responsible for bringing evolution, attitude, diversity & spirit into the mix.  Because rock & roll isn't a color nor based on genre & sound, it's a union that is part of history. Although it doesn't cease to amaze me that so many rock individuals despise the Hall even though it's not their personal jukebox nor record collection. (I mean fanaticism & ignorance are at an all time high.)  Finally, the Hall isn't there to reward artists for being popular with fans & audiences, it's to recognize the sesmic impact being caused in music industry whereas the trajectory of rock & roll changes throughout. RRHOF biggest snubs!

30 Biggest Rock & Roll Hall of Fame snubs  Today's list would be the biggest Rock & Roll Hall of Fame snubs that needed to be corrected. For this, I'll be focusing on artists who are eligible, but not nominated or inducted although have been on the ballot before.  1. Joy Division/New Order: Considered as post punk/new wave leaders, Joy Division/New Order were a big influence to their contemporaries & later artists who were inductees themselves.  2. Diana Ross: DR would be the 4th woman to receive the 2nd induction since her solo work is just remarkable as her with the Supremes.  3. OutKast: The duo who pushed Southern rap into mainstream with their albums Stankonia & Speakerboxx/The Love Below making OutKast as one of the most important artists during the 00's.  4.
