RRHOF inductee ratings & observations #9

Alright I returned once again & I'll be focusing on the 2003 inductions. Pretty much everyone knows the drill so let's go.

Ratings:

10/10 = Immortals, Icons & Legends
9/10 = All Time Greats
8/10 = No Brainers
7/10 = Proven Performers
6/10 = Best of the Rest
5/10 = Average/Borderline
4/10 = Marginal
3/10 = Mediocre
2/10 = Not even worth mentioning
1/10 = Not deserving without a ticket
0/10 = 💣

Performers:

AC/DC

9/10

Not gonna lie, AC/DC are among bands lots of people would instantly recognize when people hear any kind of riff by them. With that being said, they remain as one of the biggest acts in rock & roll history regardless of not adding other elements nor changing their sound entirely.

The Clash

10/10

This band had accomplished more in their 10 years than most bands did in their whole career, The Clash brought punk into further diversity by adding elements of reggae, dub, funk & others while influencing countless garage acts in the process. No denying they were the most important band since The Beatles & The Rolling Stones.

Elvis Costello & The Attractions

9/10

I could easily put Costello on the caliber of David Bowie as he evolved throughout & have albums that transcend generations. He may not be as successful like Bowie but he did influence artists in multiple genres.

The Police

9/10

In their short time, The Police made new wave field more mainstream with their albums being successful & released one of the biggest singles in the 80's. They mixed punk & reggae into it's sound influencing artists as No Doubt, The Killers & Vampire Weekend.

Righteous Brothers

6/10

Although successful, The Righteous Brothers may not be as remarkable like most others but their sound paved the way for fellow artists like Hall & Oates & Billy Joel.

When you have 3 british acts & australian band, it's a bit more cultural fascination than ever. Otherwise it's just a pretty good class.
