Performers:

The Allman Brothers Band

9/10

The Allmans were truly the kings of Southern Rock, giving it an art quality. They have one of the most recognizable live albums with At Fillmore East, their innovative sound would go on to inspire fellow bands/artists in the genre.

Al Green

9/10

The man has one of the greatest singing voices in the history of soul music, his run would bring the gap between earlier & modern soul making him an influence on today's R&B stars.

Janis Joplin

10/10

Among the most important women in rock & roll, Janis Joplin's legacy will forever remain at large as countless female artists would cited her as a big deal to their own music.

Led Zeppelin

10/10

A band who completely changed music since The Beatles, Bob Dylan & Rolling Stones, LZ were truly the ones who defined the 70's as whole. They were certainly game changers in the history of rock & roll as their sound paved the way for every artist/band in multiple genres. In their twelve years, they accomplished so much more than most acts in their whole lifetime in terms of success alone. Still immortals like The Fabs!

Martha & The Vandellas

8/10

A girl group were hitmakers during their primetime, however in terms of overall impact as influence: They're almost close to the caliber of The Temptations, Supremes & others. Doesn't make them unworthy.

Neil Young

10/10

His sound & songwriting abilities created grunge & bands/artists from the genre cited Young as real inspiration to their discographies. He evolved throughout his career & certainly made him one of the most important figures in modern music.

Frank Zappa

10/10

A very talented & unique icon, Zappa & his discography would span several different styles of music driving concepts of experimental & progressive. Artists including Alice Cooper, Black Sabbath, Devo, Weird "Al" Yankovic would directly mention his influence to their music.

Not only an great class but also very diverse!
