* 175.) The O'Jays

* 176.) Joan Baez

* 177.) Linda Ronstadt

Their influence can be heard in most today's music yet often misunderstood as it's well-known & I wouldn't put them on an high pedestal since it isn't all the way there.

Sure Picks

* 178.) Isaac Hayes

* 179.) Little Willie John

* 180.) Duran Duran

* 181.) Alice Cooper

* 182.) Soundgarden

* 206.) The Small Faces/Faces

* 207.) Neil Diamond

* 208.) George Michael

* 211.) Little Anthony & The Imperials

* 212.) Donovan

* 213.) Cyndi Lauper

* 214.) Brenda Lee

* 215.) Traffic

Very decent resumes while they inspired most artists nowadays, nothing significant although not forgotten.

Close Calls

* 216.) Righteous Brothers

* 217.) Def Leppard

* 218.) Jeff Beck

* 219.) The Mamas & The Papas

* 220.) Chicago

* 221.) The Flamingos

* 222.) Jimmy Cliff

* 223.) The Ventures

* 224.) Cat Stevens (Yusuf Islam)

* 225.) The Moody Blues

None of these selections are very spectacular yet I wouldn't lose any sleep over their inductions. Despite having some moments, their whole discographies are somewhat mundane.

Borderline

* 226.) Cher

* 227.) Frankie Lymon & The Teenagers

* 228.) The Moonglows

* 229.) Lavern Baker

* 230.) The Dells

* 231.) Ritchie Valens

* 239.) Electric Light Orchestra

* 240.) Dave Matthews Band

* 241.) Lionel Richie

* 242.) Peter Frampton

* 243.) Carly Simon

* 244.) Sheryl Crow

* 245.) Bobby Darin

* 246.) Lloyd Price

* 247.) Joe Cocker

* 248.) The (Young) Rascals

* 249.) Gene Pitney

* 250.) Dr. John

In fairness, not everyone could be The Beatles, Chuck Berry & Bob Dylan due to obvious reasons. Everyone here had great careers yet their overall work isn't earth shattering.

Marginal

* 251.) The Lovin Spoonful

* 252.) Bon Jovi

* 253.) Journey

* 254.) Bad Company

* 255.) Foreigner

I'm gonna be blunt: What makes them so important to the industry? Like what have they done that resulted long lasting effects. Remove them from history & it won't make a difference.

WTF

* 256.) Laura Nyro

* 257.) The Hollies

* 258.) Steve Miller Band

* 259.) Stevie Nicks

It's very ridiculous artists like them were honored due to various reasons that has nothing to do with the criteria. There's definitely biggest snubs who would've taken their place given the more accurate resumes.

Forgotten Honorees

* 260.) The Paul Butterfield Blues Band

* 261.) Darlene Love

* 262.) Percy Sledge

Unfortunately the ones being placed last are rarely mentioned in discussions of rock & roll history. They have some moments in the sun, however only time will & it won't change anytime soon. How did they even got nominated & inducted? Well that's what I'm still figuring out.

In addition, I'll also give some honorable mentions to those who are nominated yet aren't voted in.

Kraftwerk: 4th

LL Cool J & Link Wray 5th

MC5, Judas Priest, Chaka Khan & Warren Zevon: 6th

Dionne Warwick: 8th

Alright these are my rankings!
