Eagles
10/10
A band who sold many records worldwide, The Eagles have songs that were considered as classics while they took stadiums with country influence. They have albums that are essentials most notably Hotel California while they also defined it's country sound.
Fleetwood Mac
8/10
A bluesy rock outfit led by Peter Green, FM were one of the originators in the british blues rock scene before they switched from one genre to another & then came Lindsey Buckingham & Stevie Nicks. With the lineup including the two, the band went on to become one of the best-selling acts by releasing three landmark albums that would definitely stood the test of time.
The Mamas & The Papas
6/10
They were defining in 60's hippie movement, however most people remember them based on three most recognizable singles & their discography doesn't have any real artforms.
Lloyd Price
4/10
Not one of the biggest artists in soul music, Lloyd Price also is one of the most under appreciated acts in R&B. Sure his song Lawdy, Miss Cawdy was one of the first tunes to achieve crossover success with mainstream audiences & would go on to chart more hits in the 60's but he doesn't have a remarkable discography outside of that one song.
Santana
8/10
A band led by one of the greatest guitarists reached their breakthrough when they performed at the legendary Woodstock festival, before releasing guitar driven material that would go on to inspire fellow artists, then they returned to mainstream with their album Supernatural.
Gene Vincent
8/10
Maybe Vincent could've been inducted as an early influencer or have his song being included in the singles category. Nevertheless his influence on rock & roll is undeniable.
No reaction from me.
