RRHOF inductee ratings & observations #6

RRHOF inductee ratings & observations #6

Alright I returned & will be focusing on the class of 1994. Let's start shall we!

Ratings:

10/10 = Immortals, Icons & Legends
9/10 = All Time Greats
8/10 = No Brainers
7/10 = Proven Performers
6/10 = Best of the Rest
5/10 = Average/Borderline
4/10 = Marginal
3/10 = Mediocre
2/10 = Not even worth mentioning
1/10 = Not deserving without a ticket
0/10 = 💣

Performers:

The Animals

8/10

One of the bands that were part of British invasion, The Animals were very defining back in their primetime, however I wouldn't put them on the caliber of The Beatles as their music always haven't stood the test of time. They did influence artists including future Hall of Famers Tom Petty, Bruce Springsteen & Elvis Costello.

The Band

10/10

Mostly these guys were seen as Bob Dylan's backing band, The Band were a group that took rock & roll back into it's original roots while they have few albums that are considered as legitimate art forms. They also made their performances historic & memorable while also inspiring the likes of Pink Floyd, George Harrison & CSNY.

Duane Eddy

6/10

While he influenced countless guitarists around, Duane Eddy should've been inducted in the Early/Musical Influence category. Nothing against him but he doesn't have quite a remarkable discography as most other performers.

The Grateful Dead

10/10

The Dead were an act that pretty much left a bizarre yet interesting legacy in the history of rock & roll, they're known for their long improvisation performances while they evolved throughout also have a very unique fanbase. If not for them, the whole "jam band" scene would be drastically different. They definitely unfortunately paved the way for it.

Elton John

10/10

EJ is a definition of the term "rock star" due to iconic anthems, emotional ballads & outrageous costumes, he came to define the 70's as a whole while scoring hits throughout.

John Lennon

10/10

Even after The Beatles, John Lennon as a solo artist is just as groundbreaking & revolutionary. His work would go on to influence numerous acts in multiple genres. Proving that his legacy wouldn't be forgotten.

Bob Marley

10/10

Marley made Reggae an legitimate art form while he made his catalog that transcend generations after generations, definitely among the most important artists since Bob Dylan.

Rod Stewart

8/10

Stewart blended rock, soul & R&B into his sound while instantly becoming one of the greatest singers scoring numerous hits throughout his career.

A very large class indeed!
