Performers:
Black Sabbath

A band who turned hard rock into heavy metal, a sound that was never heard nor witnessed before Sabbath. That right there marked the history of rock & roll, they inspired over two hundred or thousand bands/artists, spawned several sub genres & had kick-start it's whole culture/movement. This act is among the most important bands since The Beatles.
Blondie
8/10
Blondie are one of the acts who defined punk & new wave in NYC scene along with Ramones & Talking Heads given it art quality, they also paved the way for hip hop too.
Miles Davis
10/10
A legend who predated rock & roll, Davis is the one jazz became a part of the term. His innovative experimentations influenced every artists in several genres including punk, alternative & grunge.
Lynyrd Skynyrd
8/10
Southern Rock already been defined by the Allman Brothers Band but Lynyrd Skynyrd popularized it even further, known for their guitar trio & classic songs like Freebird & Sweet Home Alabama they were truly one of the defining acts in the genre's history.
Sex Pistols
9/10
Even though their career didn't last long & they only released one album, Sex Pistols were the band who kick start the UK punk movement & were responsible for it's unique culture. Their influence on the genre is very large & countless people cited them as an inspiration. Punk wasn't the same when they came along.
This is a tight class even though none of these acts are newly eligible. It feels pretty much a catch up with certain picks being considered.
