8/10 = No Brainers
7/10 = Proven Performers
6/10 = Best of the Rest
5/10 = Average/Borderline
4/10 = Marginal
3/10 = Mediocre
2/10 = Not even worth mentioning
1/10 = Not deserving without a ticket
0/10 = 💣

Performers:

Aerosmith

9/10

A band from Boston took blues & made it into something more interesting, with that lots of bands including Van Halen, GNR, Motley Crue & Buckcherry cited the hard rockers as major influences. They still continued even after the 90's.

Solomon Burke

7/10

Burke is among the most important artists in soul & R&B. He lacked hits as his contemporaries made & his sound/voice paved way for legends including Stevie Wonder, Curtis Mayfield & others.

The Flamingos

6/10

One of the early doo wop groups, The Flamingos lacked mainstream during their career & while they didn't do much mostly, they served as a blueprint for future record labels like Motown.

Michael Jackson

10/10

The superstar of popular music, MJ was a legendary soul performer as the member of Jackson 5 then became the biggest star of the 80's & beyond. He would go on to sell millions of records destroyed charts with his work & would definitely influenced every performer after him.

Queen

10/10

Queen are one of the biggest acts in rock history, they showcased elements of prog, hard, metal, disco & pop into their signature sound while going on to inspire modern artists of multiple genres.

Paul Simon

8/10

Even as a solo artist, Paul Simon is just defining like his part of Simon & Garfunkel. His album Graceland brought worldbeat to popularity & certainly made him one of the most celebrated artists in history.

Steely Dan

8/10

The duo were well-known for their studio sophisticated production & pust it to new heights in the 70's while transferring from genre to genre. With that, they definitely changed the way of how the recording process works.

Ritchie Valens

7/10

Valens is known for being a pioneer of a sound that would definitely be an influence to Carlos Santana & Los Lobos. However due to his early tragic death, he doesn't have a remarkable discography & enough material outside of La Bamba & Donna doesn't mean he's undeserving.

Two of the most successful & influential artists (Michael Jackson & Queen) alone made this class remarkable. Others (notably Aerosmith, Paul Simon & Steely Dan) aren't so bad either.
